The massive flooding in Southeast Louisiana this week is the worst natural disaster to hit the United States since Superstorm Sandy, displacing thousands of people and impacting untold damage. To support recovery efforts, Uber is committing a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross National Disaster Fund, as well as $15,000 in-kind ride credits to people staying at emergency shelters in and around Lafayette and Baton Rouge. The Uber flood relief efforts will extend beyond just money though. Uber is offering discounted rides to people impacted by flooding in Baton Rouge and Lafayette. A ride credit will automatically be applied to trips to or from select shelter locations. Trip discount details for Uber flood relief are as follows:
Lafayette: Uber is providing $20 off one ride that starts or ends at the Heymann Center. Discount will automatically be applied to the trip receipt.

Baton Rouge: Uber is providing $15 off two rides that start or end at the shelter locations listed below. Discounts will automatically be applied to the trip receipt.
- Baton Rouge River Center, 275 S. River Road
- Felton G. Clark Activity Center, 801 Harding Boulevard
- Celtic Media Center, 10000 Celtic Drive
