It is important to know that Uber charity efforts often occur with partners in the community. Being part of a community means giving back. As the Uber platform continues to connect Oahu to reliable rides, Uber look for ways to make a greater impact right here in Hawaii. This holiday season, for the first time in the islands Uber charity is bringing you the Uber Food Drive connecting those who are able to give, to those who are in need. Together with the Hawaii Food Bank, Uber charity invites you to open the Uber app and give back by setting aside a few canned goods from your pantry or picking up extra non-perishables on your next grocery run. Request a FREE pickup of your food donations on demand this Thursday! Here is how to donate to Uber charity in Hawaii:
- Open the app on Thursday, 12/17 between 1-5pm.
- Slide over to the “FOOD DRIVE” icon on the far right and request a pickup at your location.
- Meet your driver curbside with your non-perishable food items.
- Your donation will be delivered to the Hawaii Food bank and provided to someone in need.
Hawaii Foodbank through its network of island food banks and their local food pantries and meal programs, is providing food assistance to more than 123,000 households encompassing 287,000 Islanders—or one in five island residents—including 47,894 keiki and over 46,000 kupuna.
