UberEATS Dallas readies for their launch in Texas tomorrow, November 5, 2015! On Thursday, the company will launch its UberEATS Dallas service in downtown Dallas, Uptown and the Oak Lawn area, allowing customers to order delivery from a select number of local restaurants. Uber Dallas says it will deliver items within 10 minutes or less.
“Dallas is renowned for its restaurants and its been a great city for Uber for a long time,” said Elyse Knopf, UberEATS’ regional expansion lead. “We’re really excited to marry the two and offer this innovative product to Dallas.”
Dallas is the 13th market worldwide to get the service. UberEATS Dallas will use the same cashless payment system as an Uber ride. Once users open the app, they can tap the EATS options, select items from a curated menu that changes daily and pay for the meal in full or split it with friends who also have the app. The service will be available for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with meals ranging between $8 and $12.
For Thursday’s launch, UberEATS will feature three local chefs who have partnered with Uber before: Chad Houser of Café Momentum, Tim Byres of Smoke Dallas and Kyle Noonan of The Rustic. The menu will feature The Rustic burger, the grilled hanger steak salad from Smoke and Café Momentum’s grilled cheese and smoked carrot soup. Other participating restaurants that will be featured after Thursday include Bolsa Mercado, Deep Sushi, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Hospitality Sweet, Ellen’s Southern Kitchen, El Fenix, Fireside Pies, Malai Kitchen, Norma’s Café, Joy Macaron’s, Urban Taco and Unleavened Kitchen.
